Kumbhalgarh is a fortress that is located in the district of Rajsamand in the state of Rajasthan. This place is situated in the western India. Rana Kumbha built this place in the 15th century. During the 15th century this fort was practically inaccessible. This place is also known for the birthplace of Maharana Pratap, warrior and king of Mewar. Muchchal Mahavir Temple:

This temple is known for the famous statue of Lord Mahavira that bears a moustache. Two beautiful statues of elephants guard at the gateways of the temple. This temple is located near the Kumbhalgarh wildlife sanctuary approximately 5km away from Ghanerao.

Parshuram temple:

At this temple you will be taken back in the historical period. It is an ancient cave where 'Rishi Parshuram' performed his Sadhna. You will have to climb 500steps to reach till the cave.


It is the famous place which is known for the battle that was fought between Mughal Emperor Akbar and Rana Pratap (son of Udai Singh) in 1576 AD. This place has a commemorative plaque of Rana Pratap that white marble columns in it. The small cenotaph is dedicated to the horse of Rana Pratap named 'Chetak'.
