Udaipur City Palace

City Palace is the landmark of Udaipur. It is located at the bank of Pichhola Lake and was built by Maharana Udai Singh. It is a must visit place of Udaipur. The major area of the City Palace has been converted into a museum and has been opened for general public and tourists. The museum showcases a variety of ancient armors, weapons, furniture, clothes, paintings etc.

Jagdish Temple

Jagdish Temple is situated outside City Palace, Udaipur and was built in year 1651 by Maharana Jagat Singh. Jagdish Temple is an example of Indo Aryan Architecture. It is a Hindu temple of lord Jagdish. Jagish Temple is a major and very famous monument and it is a big tourist attraction of Udaipur. Many domestic, foreign tourists and thousands of local people of Udaipur visits to offer holy prayer at Jagdish Temple.

Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandal

Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandal was founded in 1952 by Padmashri Shri Devilal Samar. The main objective behind founding this institution was to revive the fading art and culture of folk art and folk dance. The institute conducts training for teachers, children and other artists to educate about the powerful medium of folk art. The institute also organizes various cultural activities and fests from time to time which offer the citizens of the city to enhance their know-how about the folk art and folk culture of different cities. It also conducts different kind of Training Courses for students.

The Vintage Car Collection

It is the private car collection of the House of Mewar, the famous oldest Royal Dynasty of India. The collection was inaugurated in February 2000. The cars been showcased in the collection are still in the perfect running condition. The Royal Collection of Vintage Cars includes the magnificent Roll Royce 1939, Rare Mercedes 1936 and Vauxhall 1937. The collection has been housed in the glorious semi circular garage in the Palace. The garage was built at the time when there were only cars of the Royal Family road around the city of Udaipur.

Crystal Gallery

Crystal Gallery is situated in the Fateh Prakash Palace within the City Palace and it is the private Crystal Gallery which belongs to the Royal Dynasty of House of Mewar. In 1877, Maharana Sajjan Singh ordered the collection from Birmingham which includes a variety of objects such as dinner sets, perfume bottles, bowls, glasses and the only crystal bed available in the world. Another amazing fact is that the Royal Crest of the House of Mewar has been carved on each crystal object. Visiting the grand and royal Fateh Prakash Palace Darball Hall would be of exquisite experience. Its mesmerizing beauty would stamp its glory on your mind forever.

Monsoon Palace - Sajjangarh

Sajjangarh, formerly known as Monsoon Palace is a hilltop adventurous place in Udaipur. It was built in 1884 by Maharana Sajaan Singh of Mewar Dynasty. The objective behind to built this place was to welcome and experience the Monsoon as this place was situated on a hilltop. Few years back this place was made open for public. The Forest Department, Government of Rajasthan has made it a Wild Life Sanctuary and turned it to the perfect place for the wild life lovers of Udaipur. Sajjangarh offers a magnificent view of the Udaipur from the hilltop. Many different species of Wild Animals could be spotted here in the sanctuary.
